Rolex released the first Datejust in 1945 to celebrate Rolex's 40th anniversary. The model in the following photos is from 1979, so it is unmissable when you think of Rolex. As mentioned, this watch dates from 1979 and has the serial number 6xxxxxx. This Datejust 16014 has an automatic movement caliber 3035 with quickset date function, plexiglass and a silver dial with the original tritium hour markers and hands. The watch has a beautiful silver dial with a very nice tritium patina around the hour markers and in the hands, making it truly a collectors piece. The Rolex 16014 comes in a combination of 18k white gold and stainless steel. The watch is in very good condition and has been serviced if needed.
