A brief history about the Rolex Datejust:

The Rolex Datejust was first included in the Rolex collection in 1945 to celebrate Rolex's 40th anniversary. In doing so, the Rolex Datejust was the first automatic self-winding wristwatch that could simultaneously read the Date at the 3 o'clock position of the dial, while the date would automatically skip to the next day at midnight. We all know the Rolex Datejust with the famous and beloved Jubilee bracelet, which of course owes its name to Rolex's 40th anniversary when this model was released.

Now, the first Rolex Datejust the reference 4467 was only made in 18K Yellow Gold, which lasted until the 1950s. Nowadays, we know the Rolex in a lot of different copies, think of the two-tone models, the models with the Oyster bracelet, but also with the smooth bezel and the engine turned bezel, which is no longer released.
